Here We Go Again
We’re now less than three weeks away from another
Presidential election and, personally, I can’t wait for it to be over. Beginning November 7th we
should have at least several weeks free of campaign lies before the next round
begins. As you might guess if
you’ve seen the report card I gave President Obama, I’ll be voting for
Romney. Actually, I’ve already
submitted my absentee ballot here in Connecticut. Now that was probably the biggest waste of time and effort
I’ve ever engaged in since Connecticut is as left wing as you can get and Obama
will undoubtedly win this state.
However, I had to fulfill my civic responsibility.
I have to say that Obama’s presidency has turned out to be
exactly as I predicted before the election of 2008. The evidence of his far left political philosophy in 2008
has been born out and I’ll have to give him credit. He has never attempted to hide his socialistic agenda. His goals focusing on income
redistribution have been as plain as day from the beginning. I referred to him before the election
of 2008 as a “pied piper” and he has proven to be one of the best. While I gave him a report card full of
Fs, as a “pied piper” or con artist or however you want to refer to his ability
to make people thank him after he has given them the shaft with a smile on his
face, I give him A+.
I’m not certain that things will be all rosy under a Romney
administration but I think we have to take that chance. At this point the bus is heading for
the cliff with Obama pressing hard on the accelerator. Our National Debt is heading for $17
trillion and a future of financial misery that I don’t want to leave for my
children and grandchildren.
The problem is, we may already be too late to avoid serious
financial damage to our economy but I think that outcome will be locked in if
Obama wins reelection. I don’t go
as far as many who feel he is attempting to bring down the U.S. economy on
purpose in order to create a crisis enabling him to grab more power. However, I do feel his objective is to
install “European Style Socialism”
here. Do we really want to face
the kinds of problems currently taking place in countries like Greece and
Spain?
